Wendy's has tried to compete with McDonald's and Burger King by offering better burgers. When Dave Thomas founded the company, he offered "fresh, never frozen" hamburgers.
Though Thomas never mentioned "unlike McDonald's and Burger King," the message was apparent. Wendy's cuisine was fresher, produced with finer ingredients and more affection.
In 2020, the chain launched breakfast nationwide with the same story. Wendy's advertised their fresh cracked eggs instead to McDonald's (MCD) prepared patties.
McDonald's utilizes fresh eggs in several sandwiches. "We use a USDA Grade A cracked into a ‘egg ring’ to get that iconic round shape for our Egg McMuffin," the business wrote online.
Some McDonald's breakfast sandwiches contain precooked "folded" eggs, but not the Egg McMuffins, which use ring-cooked eggs.
Wendy's has marketed itself as offering better fast food than McDonald's and, to a lesser extent, Burger King. Fast cuisine Done Right: your go-to for authentic, fresh, craveable cuisine that doesn't cost a fortune and the new morning menu attests to that," the firm said in 2020.

Taco Bell has three Grande Toasted Breakfast Burritos. These 570-calorie snacks come in steak, bacon, and sausage varieties.
